Starting a Fractal

Is a fractal still a church? Listen for the answer as you watch the video discussing the transition of Imagine Fellowship into what is now Fractals.

The steps to start a fractal:

  • Prayer.  When we look at Jesus Christ’s earthly ministry it was all about doing the will of his Father, not his own.  We recognize the initial step in starting a fractal is prayerfully seeking God’s will.  Fractals, when within God’s will, are an impact for his Kingdom.  Upon reflection, what are you being led to do?  Prayer is our opportunity to find out.  If you are being led to start a fractal, then continue to the Initial Questionnaire.

  • Initial Questionnaire.  Fractals have one purpose.  It is to experience and share life change through the support of God and relationships.  To achieve this purpose, the Bible teaches us to be God centered, relational, obedient, and work by using the gifts God has given us.  The Initial Questionnaire explores these four areas and, after your submission of it, begins our involvement with you in this process.  To download the questionnaire, click here.  Please email the completed questionnaire to the contact information included on it.

  • Secondary Questionnaire.  The Secondary Questionnaire provides a snapshot to us of your experience and learned skills in local church ministry, leadership, employment, and training.  It increases our knowledge of you and assists us in discussion topics as we begin communications.  You will be sent the Secondary Questionnaire after our receipt of the Initial Questionnaire. It is at this point a personal meeting is coordinated.

  • Personal Meeting. Up to this point, base information on yourself and fractals has been exchanged.  It is in connection with the personal meeting a deeper exchange has opportunity to occur.  The personal meeting may be a meeting with one elder or a group of elders.  It is in this step, a further exploration of your sense of calling occurs.

Acknowledgment
Fractals do not claim to be the exclusive model in reaching our culture for Christ. We recognize there are essentials and nonessentials within our Christian faith (Ro 14). We also recognize there are functions each Christian is to embody. These functions can be found in directives given by Christ (Mt 22:37: Mt 28:18-20; Lk 14:27, 33) and the Apostle Paul (Ro 12:1; 1Co 12:1-11; Eph 4:11-13) and the lifestyle of the early church of Acts (Ac 2:42-47). It is within the scope of scriptural parameters as these that fractals operate and point towards daily walking with God.
